Welcome, one and all to the new Avatar Website.  It’s actually been up for a while, but this is the first opportunity I’ve had to comment on our many new and exciting developments here at Avatar Software.  Of course, the most obvious change in the past year has been our commitment to SharePoint 2010, but more recently, we’ve begun to expand on that central area of expertise into more in-depth Silverlight development as well as, much more recently, Windows Phone 7 development.

In the upcoming weeks we are going to begin to post a few sessions of video blogs to help introduce ourselves to anyone who doesn’t already know us and what we do.  We’ll try not to get too technical, but we definitely want to show off our development skills, so we’ll be showing some walkthroughs in Visual Studio, the Microsoft Expression Suite and other fantastic products that we use on a daily basis.

Most of all, we want to show off some pretty awesome new stuff we’re building in Silverlight and on the Windows Phone 7 platform, but we’ll also talk more about SharePoint 2010 and what it can do for any business, large or small.  After last year’s long “year of the wait”, 2010 has definitely been the year of catching up, and we’ve got a lot of catching up to do on this new site of ours.  Keep watching this space for some amazing new stuff!
